A front mount adjustment screw is in the design of the Sea-Dog Rail Mount Rod Holder. This eliminates the need to unscrew the rail mount brackets for models, which is a hassle. Sea-Dog Line suggests installing a protection line on the rod when using rail mount rod holders. These Rail Mount Rod Holders can hold rods with a diameter of up to 1-3/4" in length. With a front mount adjustment screw, the rail mount brackets may be adjusted without disassembling them. A leash on the rod is recommended when utilizing a rail mount.
