    Amazing product!!

Sway has been eliminated. At first I thought it did not work. Don't give up if it doesn't feel right at first. You have to adjust and get it dialed in. I ended up having to add 1 more washer than stated in the instructions in order to get the proper weight distribution. Now I have had a chance to test it on the highway, in the city, and even towed a full day in the rain with some strong winds and while I did feel the wind there were no white knuckle moments. Not once did I even think about reaching for my brake controller. Well worth the price for peace of mind and the safety of my family.

    Worth the price

Install this on a full-size range rover towing a 28 foot trailer. Used it on a three month excursion. I’m 100% confident that if we did not have this product we would’ve rolled our car at least at least one occasion. It’s an absolute lifesaver and worth every penny. Beyond that it makes the road much less stressful and gives you additional confidence while driving.

It’s a super high-quality product that is exceptionally well-built. Well packaged for shipping and comes with required tools. Customer service is absolutely top-notch. Some of the best I’ve ever received.

Well not a reason not to get this just be aware that this is not a couple of hours to install. It took us at least a full day and then another day or more to troubleshoot.

Totally worth it and there is no comparable product on the market

    Propride outstanding company and product

Propride is in an outstanding company to do business with and I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Example: I had a question while installing on a Saturday afternoon my driveway not being level and the instructions requiring a level install service. I left a message and had a call back within 20 minutes. From Brent the general manager informing me that the trailer just needed to be parallel with The driveway and the truck.I was expecting a callback but no way was I expecting that call to come from Brent.

I was able to install the hitch on my 7,500lb travel trailer without incident. The hitch made a huge difference in the towing of the vehicle virtually no sway and a rock stable tow. Almost as if it was a fifth-wheel.

My tow vehicle is a 2017 Ford Expedition and with the Propride 3P hitch installed I was able to evenly distribute the weight over the two Expeditions axles. It took several trips through the weigh station to get my adjustments fine-tuned but then I was able to mark them on the torsion bar jacks allowing me to repeat it as needed.

No other weight distribution hitch that I know of allows you to fine-tune those adjustments as you can with the Propride.

While I was making the adjustments, at a truck stop, one of the truckers who was refueling his truck noted that he had never seen a hitch that would allow you to fine-tune the axle weights as you could with this hitch. He said he'd been towing for 40 years and the importance of evenly distributing the weight over the tow vehicle cannot be overstated and yet so few hitches allow that adjustment. Most weight distribution hitches make a fixed Weight distribution and treat all trailers as if they weighed the same.

Again this is one outstanding company and Product

Can't say enough good things about this hitch

We needed to be able to safely pull a Freedom Express 27RKDS (30' LOA, 6200# dry, 7500 loaded) trailer with a 2020 Ford Expedition. With the relatively short wheelbase we were concerned about potential sway issues. Installed the ProPride, and took our first trip with it. WOW. An 8 hour trip from Sacramento to Oregon, 6% up and down grades. Tons of trucks. How good was the experience? We didn't miss towing with our F250 and an "old fashioned" WD hitch. Our rig was rock solid. Even 30 kt cross winds in the high desert outside of Weed, Ca were effortless. I've trailered with different vehicles for 45+ years now. I've never experienced anything this solid that wasn't a 5th wheel.

PROPRIDE 3P TRAILER SWAY CONTROL HITCH

This hitch is so much better than any other hitch on the market it should come as standard equipment on all new travel trailers.

ProPride seems to be the best - with product and service

I am first to admit I have only had the one 10 hour drive from NJ back to Kentucky to base by observations on. I will tell you that I was thrilled with the way it eliminated sway "truck suck" - as the 6 year old in me likes to call it! No sway. Couple that with the fact that I have a borderline sufficient TV to pull my new AS Classic 33 and I think it made all of the difference in driving experience and safety.

Brent McDowell, ProPride's national sales rep, jumped through hoops to get me a hitch to the dealer, under some really constrained supply conditions and was extremely with a very 'little' post sales support we need - he went above and beyond. Highly recommend, will post another review after we get a few more trips on it!

    Hitch and Installation

Have had the hitch out for only one 200 mile tow. So far I am impressed with how effortless the driving is pulling a 33' TT behind a RAM 1500. Semi's blowing by are a non issue and the wind didn't bother us either. Installation manual needs a clarity review . Took me well beyond the 2 hours for the install. Several tweeks at the scale were needed for the Weight Distribution as well. Only 4 stars because we have only limited use of it. Might go 5 if things continue to go well.

    Everything It's Claimed To Be

First and foremost, I want to acknowledge the customer service from ProPride. They answered all my questions ahead of time, and made sure to have my hitch delivered to me with enough time to install it and test before a scheduled trip. Their lead time put delivery past our departure date, but they got it done regardless.

Tow Vehicle: 2017 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali
Tow Trailer: 2010 bumper pull camper, 42' OAL, 10.8k lb dry weight
Product: ProPride 3P 1400 with the 2.5" shank

Install was pretty straight forward, but would have been considerably more difficult if YouTube wasn't a thing. Some of the written instructions weren't overly clear until we watched an installation video. It took us about 2.5 hours start to finish, including unpacking everything.

Packaging was superb. Nothing shifted around and the boxes were packed according to the part of the install you are working on. I greatly appreciated that.

Setting up the hitch is easy as long as you take the time to get all the measurements and write them down in the book for reference later. I use my driver's side rear fender height every time I unhook to make sure I'm coming straight out of the hitch when I unhook. I'm still messing with the WD jacks to find the right setting for pulling our camper. Driving north 300 miles this past weekend was fine for bounce, but coming home it felt much more bouncy. I'll keep fine tuning as I go, but if the little bit of bounce is all I need to figure out then I'm very pleased.

The anti sway of this hitch is everything that has been claimed. Prior to this hitch I was using a normal WD hitch with a friction bar anti sway device. I didn't have any problems with the loading, but the anti-sway may as well not even have been attached. I wasn't able to get over 55mph without the tail wagging the dog excessively; so bad that my wife called from our second vehicle and asked me to stop for a while because of how bad it was swaying. Semis going by would force me off the road from the bow wave, then the vacuum would pull the rear of the camper back on the road before the front of the semi had made it past the tow vehicle. Unpleasant just doesn't quite describe that experience.

The ProPride system all but eliminated the sway. I could feel the trailer trying to move around, but was pulled back into place each time it tried. I was able to set the cruise to 65mph on the expressway and drove with no issues, even in windy conditions.

My only complaint, and it isn't worth removing a star for, is that one of the snap ring pins that were sent was defective. The snap ring was rusted inside the pin and wouldn't allow the ring to stay attached once you "unsnapped" it. It was very frustrating. I had a similar pin at home and used that for this trip instead.

Overall, the hitch was worth every penny I paid for it. Adding up the money spent on tow vehicle and trailer, having a reliable hitch system that will allow me to enjoy getting to and from my destination makes a lot of sense.

I would recommend this hitch to anyone who pulls a trailer.

    Best hitch money can buy

We bought a 2020 Jayco 284BHOK earlier this year which is a large and heavy travel trailer. Moreover, it tall as we optioned it with 16” tires. We tow with a 2020 GMC SRW 1 ton. After a miserable trip in June from AZ to Colorado where I experienced some of the worst sway I have ever dealt with I immediately went to ProPride. Installation was a breeze...watched a few videos and took my time with no problems. We just made the same trip and it was the best towing experience I’ve ever had. It was amazing see tractor trailers experience some decent wind and it did not even phase our setup. I’ve read others comments that indicate the ProPride was worth every penny and I couldn’t agree more. Thanks for delivering a great product to RV consumers with phenomenal customer service!
