If you overload your trailer’s rated capacity then that is a dangerous practice that can lead to problems and worse, not having the ability to securely deliver your tow vehicle to a stop in an emergency. Additionally, Sherline Trailer Tongue Weight Scale has different scales in keeping with your truck’s weight.

Sherline LM1000 Tongue Weight Scale can measure tongue weight a maximum of 1000 pounds and 460 kilograms. Read 100 every pound with marks at 25 pounds.

Sherline LM2000 Tongue Weight Scale can measure tongue weight a maximum of 2000 pounds and 900 kilograms. Reads every 200 pounds with marks at 50 pounds.

Sherline LM5000 Tongue Weight Scale can measure tongue weight a maximum of 5000 pounds and 2250 kilograms. Read every 1000 pounds with a mark of 125 pounds.

Your Sherline scale is warranted by Sherline Products, Inc. for one year from time of purchase to be free of defects in manufacturing and assembly. This includes all parts, seals and the gauge installed at purchase. Should any problems occur with the proper functioning of the scale, return it to the address below along with dated proof of purchase for repair or replacement at our option. This warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, neglect, overloading or improper installation of a gauge other than the one installed by the factory. Gauge accuracy is warranted by the gauge manufacturer to be within 2% at mid range of the gauge. (Accuracy diminishes to 3% at either extreme of the gauge's range.) These gauges are not recommended for trade purposes.

I needed to see what effect the full (or empty) water tank on my travel trailer had on the tongue weight. It would have been a long process driving back and forth to a truck scale.
I'm not sure of the accuracy but for me just finding out what I needed was well worth the money. I'm sure I'll be loaning this to friends.

Does a fantastic job weighing our R-Pod travel trailers tongue weight. Our trailer weighs under 3000 lbs so this was the cats meow to keeping the weight within specs. Very simple and easy to use too.

Working towards getting my new trailer toyhauler set up with the right truck receiver hitch and trailer weight distribution and sway control as well. There are multiple loading and weight scenarios to know depending on the cargo you'll carry, how it's loaded, and whether you're carrying fresh water which is 8.4 pounds per gallon. Returns Policy
